Kitchen Supervisor

Jon McCarty was raised in Garland, Texas where he excelled in sports and his studies. He attended UNT on a track scholarship. Following in the footsteps of family, he later became an electrician and spent 44 years in the electrical field before moving on to pursue his love of cooking.
Jon grew up the youngest of 5 children. The kitchen was the focal point in the household where he found his love of cooking and creating new recipes with new ingredients. In 2022, Jon came onboard as Kitchen Supervisor for Hubcap Café. He now merges his passion for cooking and helping others by feeding members of the public and residents every day.
Jon keeps to his athletic roots and enjoys biking on the trails around Dallas. In his free time, he enjoys reading and following sports.
