Meet David Daluz, Kitchen Supervisor

David moved to The 24 in January 2021 and successfully graduated from Tillman House in October 2021. He has been the Kitchen Supervisor for one and a half years and is engaged to the love of his life, Lacey.


What was the best concert you ever attended? George Strait in 1999


Where’s your favorite place in the world? Destin, Florida because the beaches are beautiful. It's my relaxation zone.

What is your favorite book? Tales of a 4th Grade Nothing by Judy Blume because when we read that book in 4th grade it made me laugh. It's always been one of my favorite books.


What are you passionate about? Helping people. I love seeing the newcomers come in to The 24. I love seeing success stories and our Residents turn their lives around from negative to positive.



What’s your favorite movie? Step Brothers. Will Ferrell is funny. I love comedy. I love to laugh


What is your favorite family tradition? Opening presents on Christmas Eve. I love getting our presents early. It's a good tradition for my family.


What was your first job? I worked at Sea World in San Antonio. I operated the roller coaster.

Have you ever met anyone famous? George Strait. He lived down the street from us in San Antonio so I've met him a few times through the years.


What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard? The grass is never greener on the other side.


How do you want to be perceived and what do you want to be known for? I want to be known for my work ethic, positivity and laughter.
