Tim Grigsby, The 24's next CEO


Tim is a seasoned nonprofit executive with over 11 years of leadership experience in the Dallas Recovery Community. Since 2018, Tim served as Chief Operating Officer of The 24 where he used his first-hand experience to run The 24 effectively and lead the staff and Residents by example.


Tim started his career at The 24 as a Resident Staff Liaison, then a Program Manager before working as Program Director for Patton Sober Living between 2015-2017. He rejoined The 24 as COO when the facility on Ross Avenue opened. During his time as COO, The 24’s Successful Discharge Rate increased by 20%.


In 2020, Tim was recognized by DMagazine in their “Heroes” special edition for his work in maintaining operations at The 24 during the COVID-19 pandemic, while ensuring the safety and well-being of the staff and Residents. Additionally, The 24 with Tim’s leadership was recognized by the City of Dallas’ Office of Homeless Solutions and an array of Resource Partners for excellent protocol in preventing the spread of the disease.


Tim works hard every day to ensure that every person checking in to The 24 has an opportunity to rebuild their lives. Since Tim is an alum, The 24 holds a special place in his heart and he often refers to it as “his favorite place on God’s green earth.”


As Tim steps into the role of CEO, his primary goal for The 24 is to continue to maintain a safe and stable environment for individuals who are ready to change their lives. Additionally, he wants to continue to work toward increasing The 24’s Successful Discharge Rate and establishing new initiatives to ensure that The 24’s alumni can stay housed in the skyrocketing housing market in North Texas.


Tim is a Dallas native and 2001 graduate of Highland Park High School. In 2012, Tim checked in as a Resident at The 24 after several stops at treatment centers and sober living facilities. In 2017, Tim graduated from The University of North Texas with a bachelor's degree of applied arts and sciences with a specialization in organizational development.


Tim has one son, Cayden, who enjoys swimming, Legos, martial arts, and Cub Scouts. While not at work, Tim enjoys nature, disc golf, reading, and exercise. He is engaged to be married to Heather Nolan, who volunteers her time at The 24 in a variety of ways, including in the Women’s Empowerment Program and face painting at various events.
